Espinozas in Ecuador Exclusive: Back in Ecuador!

Hello praying friends!

We are back in Ecuador as of 2 weeks and are starting to find our rhythm again after nearly two months in Canada with family and friends. During our time in Canada we were able to organize a fundraiser for the school to look for more sponsors and we have been glad to see how God has been moving in people's hearts to partner with the school. All in all, our time in Canada was refreshing and we arrived in Ecuador ready to step into responsibilities again.

Power outages continue here in Ecuador, mainly 7-8 hours a day. We are grateful to have been provided with a fan and lights with rechargeable batteries, and a way to still have the internet, that allow the hours without electricity to be passed fairly comfortably. Church schedule has had to be changed the last two weeks because of the power outages. One week we had our church service at 5 in the afternoon and the next week it began at 11 in the morning. Our congregation has proved flexible and willing to adapt to the changes. There are rumors that these power outages will be finished soon, but for now, it seems the city has been adapting itself to life as it is.

Our boys seem to be adjusting well to life back in Ecuador. It's been amazing to see that they really do have two homes and so far have been able to step between them gracefully. The only hitch is that Tiago is very disappointed to have missed the recent big snowfall in Canada, and we have had to wipe away some tears.

Please pray power would be normalized again, especially as the weather gets hotter and people find it hard to cool down without their electricity based technology. This week temperatures reached 35 degrees which made afternoon classes at the school have been especially hard as even fans can't be used to relieve the heat.

This weekend we are going with the youth to camp at the beach for the day. Pray for safety, that our youth would be encouraged in their faith and refreshed by being out in God's creation. Continue to pray for us as a family, that our hearts would remain close to God and our reason for being here, without getting lost in the details of everyday life.

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers!
