"We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks!
For your wondrous works declare that Your name is near."

Psalm 75:1

Dear Friends,

We have many reasons to pause and give thanks. God is our Provider and Sustainer declaring that He is near and not faraway or inattentive. His most wondrous work was our salvation and the abundant life we can know each day. He is near!

Pray forJORDAN*, who is about to be released.

When he arrived in prison, another Christian inmate invited him to a Bible study on the range and to our chapel service where we first met him. This group of Christian inmates have been a huge support and encouragement to him.

He received Christ as Saviour and we see him each week at Alpha.  What a change there has been as we see the increasing joy and peace he has.

Once he is released he is hoping to be able to attend church on the street. Pray that his parole officer would allow this and that there will be continuation of Christian support and fellowship for him.

Pray forLEO* who is serving a long sentence.

We met him briefly six years ago.  At that time he was somewhat curious but also hugely skeptical and conflicted about anything to do with God.

He "resurfaced" again this summer.  We invited him to attend the chapel program on Wednesday evenings. (give it a try) He has continued attending and has begun to read the Bible. Each week he is keen to relate to us what he is learning.  The Spirit of God is graciously revealing TRUTH. Pray that he is granted the faith to completely trust God's gift of salvation for him.

This past week we began facilitating the Alpha course in an additional institution. There were 14 in attendance.  Please pray for this new gospel opportunity.

Thank you for your prayers ...for us and also for the many inmates who hear the gospel.   May they be granted the grace to receive it and not reject it.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving,

Robert and Susan
