MARTIN, ROBERT & SUSAN (Kingston, ON; Kingston Prison Ministry; MSC)  PRAISE: We are grateful for the 120 men who attended the Christmas service at Bath Inst.  We led the carol sing and the chaplain gave a gospel message. We had a wonderful Christmas celebration with our children and grandchildren.  We do not take this for granted and feel so very blessed.  We are thankful for their loving support.  PRAY:

Ryan continues to attend chapel services and Alpha but claims he is into new age, eastern thinking. He is aware of the gospel but has chosen otherwise.  Pray the Holy Spirit would mercifully lift the veil of spiritual blindness.  

Gord & Heather Martin - January 2024

MARTIN, GORD & HEATHER  (Waterloo, ON; Vision Ministries)   PRAISE/PRAY: We are in the middle of transferring funds to Eritrean refugees who are living in war zones or in large/terrible camps. Please pray with us that these funds will reach those for whom it is intended. It's not easy. I am regularly involved in helping churches "succeed more" with their mission. That means, constant need for Holy Spirit fullness and wisdom. Pray ok?

Charlotte Martin - January 2024

MARTIN, CHARLOTTE  (Guelph, ON; Power to Change)  PRAISE: I had an enjoyable and restful Christmas Break. It was nice to spend time with family, and not have a lot in my schedule. We have almost finished processing applications for the Honduras mission trip happening in February and the trip will be full.  PRAY: For more applications for our May Trips - Desert Rain, Praxis Edmonton, Nations Next Door Ottawa, Vietnam. The deadline to apply is January 31st. Pray for a few more staff members to join our Desert Rain mission trip and Nations Next Door mission trip. Normally I find the start of a new year energizing, but so far this year I find myself "dragging" a bit. Pray for encouragement and renewed energy.

J&R K - South Asia - January 2024

J&R  (South Asia; Frontiers)  PRAISE:  Praise the Lord for a blessed time with our biological & spiritual family over the Christmas break. It’s been wonderful to catch up with many in Canada. We fly back to South Asia on January 13. Pray for us as we begin Semester 2–first with our staff retreat, that it would be a time of fresh vision and hearing from the Lord. And then for our students as they come back late January; that their hearts would be prepared for another term. May the Lord lead us all into deeper experiences with Him this year.

Les & Sharon Frey - January 2024

FREY, LES & SHARON (Elmira, ON; Local Church)  PRAISE: We had many wonderful opportunities to share in seniors groups this year end and even shared a devotional at Elmira High School invited by Jeff Martin to a Christian group of 50-60 called Hilltop. There were two grandsons present as I challenged them to start reading their Bibles through every year like I decided at their age sixty years ago. PRAY: 

Marriage Mentoring - Prayer  for couples to sign up and others to mentor them as this will be offered again at WBC this month. Pray for the four Seniors Bible study  groups starting again (an average of 12 in each). Pray for Our Pastoral Care Team at WBC comprised of 9 that we may truly minister with God’s power to the needs.
