Praise & Prayer for December
Dear Praying Friends,
Pre-Christmas Blessings to you from South Asia!
Things have calmed down on campus and the students have all departed for their homes for the holidays, so we have a few more spare moments in the day to keep you updated on how you can be praying this month.
Thank you for standing with us in this work.
PRAY for Rebecca's brother, Aaron, who met with a very unfortunate accident just days after arriving in the country. A wrong landing after hopping down a step while on a short hike has left him with a break in 2-bones of his leg at the knee. He is now 4 hours away in a hospital awaiting surgery. As you can imagine, this has affected all the plans we had as a family to do different activities together during their visit and we are making adjustments as things unfold. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors doing the surgery, pray for Aaron, Tashia & boys as they grieve the loss of carefully laid plans, and for all of us to receive the comfort that comes from Christ in this season. We're praying for a miracle that will bring us all back together for Christmas Day.
PRAY for our students as they travel and for many who return to family situations that are difficult. During our last Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday, one of the girls in my group mentioned that she will hardly see her family over Christmas as she's moving around from one relative to the next. for many of our kids, the school is more of a home than their actual homes.
PRAY for rest and refreshment. A month-long season of flus around the campus has left many staff tired and unwell. Pray for healing & that we'd all get much needed rest.
PRAISE that Rebecca's family made it safely for Christmas. They were in transit for more than 70 hours getting here! Praise that they made all their connections - and special thanks for praying away the car-sickness on the mountain roads. We are looking forward to precious time together despite the adverse circumstances.
PRAISE for a good finish to the Semester and all the different activities. Praise for the many conversations about Christ we were able to have in the weeks leading up to the end of term. One of Joshua's final Alt Service topics was on the divinity of christ and sparked lots of good conversation. Pray that seeds planted would find good soil and grow deep roots.
PRAISE for Isaac also making it safely to South Asia. We are so thankful to be reunited for the season and have been enjoying hearing about his program, classes and extra-curricular pursuits.
