MARTIN, TREVOR & HANNAH (Waterloo, ON; Power to Change) PRAISE: For the opportunity for Trevor & Hannah to attend the Global Leadership Summit at the Creekside site in Waterloo on August 8 & 9. For Trevor successfully shipping hundreds of Bible study books to our national headquarters in BC and passing the baton of inventory management and distribution of these books. PRAY: For wisdom for Hannah and she has been given an opportunity to supervise two staff women on her staff team this upcoming school year, but hasn't decided if she will do it or not. For God's direction in how to structure Hannah's staff team this upcoming school year and help in determining which campus each staff will serve on (UWaterloo, Laurier or Conestoga College). For the Lord's guidance to aid Trevor in determining which projects, priorities and plans Trevor should focus on this upcoming school year.

MARTIN, RUSS & MEREDITH (Singapore; Power to Change / Lausanne Movement) PRAISE: Our family enjoyed a few short weeks in Canada with family, including the kids enjoying a week at Camp Medeba. Successful launch of "Lausanne Gatherings" app for the upcoming Lausanne Movement Congress in Korea in September. Our kids are healthy and in an enjoyable season of life. PRAY: A good start to school for the kids, beginning on August 14. Russ and Meredith at a setup trip in Korea August 19-21. There are many details that require Russ and Meredith's attention ahead of the Lausanne Congress, Sep 22-28. Pray for effective communication and coordination with a team working around the globe and around the clock.

For opportunity in July to help out Mike our neighbour with his post op needs with rides etc. Opportunities to speak in Spanish. PRAY: For daughter Elena in Iowa going through a difficult time with teenage sons as a single working mom. For New Mexican believer Hugo and family in Mexico. For online students with BGEA. Elias just finished the course well.

BRUBACHER, JENN (Listowel, YFC) PRAISE: We are thankful for our incredible volunteer team; we truly couldn't do what we do without them. It's been a gift to see the Gospel worked out in students' lives: a student apologizing for being disrespectful during drop-in and wanting to cope with their anger in healthier ways, a former student reaching out for help, something they would never have done before, a student recognizing they are worth being treated with kindness and respect from others. PRAY: We need prayer for our Muskoka Woods camp trip from July 28th to August 2nd. We are taking 20 students from our junior high drop-in program, and there are significant, high needs in this group, and it will require our full attention and presence. Please pray that each student encounters God and that He will stir deep curiosity for more in each student. Please pray for us as staff. We need immense grace, patience, wisdom, and energy this week.
Phil & Andrea Bauman - August 2024
BAUMAN, PHIL & ANDREA (Canada, International roles with SIM) PRAISE: Praise for a good time of vacation where we were able to leave work behind for 10 days. It was wonderful to spend some of that time with our kids. We are also deeply grateful that Andrea’s dad received good news from a recent scan. He does need laparoscopic surgery to remove some slow growing tumors but it can wait until after they come for the wedding. PRAY: Please continue to pray for Mackenzie who is now almost a week overdue so we are expecting a grandbaby quite soon. Liam and Merideth continue their marriage and wedding preparation so please pray that all the wedding details would come together and for them to have a godly Christian marriage. Pray too for Cara as she prepares to start her Masters in Toronto.
