Trevor & Hannah Martin - Power to Change (Waterloo)

Fall Launch 2023

As another school year begins, many things need to come together to help students take their next step towards Jesus.

Hannah has been meeting up with her Waterloo team to pray, plan and prepare for students arriving back onto campus. We are thankful for a large local team of Power to Change staff (pictured above plus Trevor) to help reach the students at University of Waterloo, Laurier University and Conestoga College.
Pray with us that many students would encounter Jesus in a deeper way this year.

Trevor works hard behind the scenes to equip campuses and churches across Canada with resources to help students grow in their faith. Here he is at our local P2C storage locker picking up resources to ship out to those who have requested them. If you are interested in using our Equipped Resources, feel free to email us!

SUMMIT 2023

Summit is our annual fall weekend away for students. It is often an influential weekend in student's lives to help them see how God wants to use their time in college/university for His kingdom work. Camaraderie and community are built in the hours spent together worshipping God and having fun.
As you probably know, the cost of everything is going up these days, and Summit is no different. But we would never want cost to be a reason to keep a student from coming to this life impacting weekend. Would you consider giving to Summit so that students could be given discounts on their weekend?

PRAY: For God to help many new students to get connected to Christ-Centered Christian community as the school year starts. For our regional retreats (called Summit) at the end of September. That hundreds of students would come and be spurred on in their faith. For our daughter Amelia starting grade 2 and our daughter Avery starting daycare.

Meredith as she seeks to develop a Seoul congress brand prototype by September 22. For Russ as he seeks to finalize a partnership for a key part of Lausanne's digital platform strategy.

Robert & Susan - September 2023

MARTIN, ROBERT & SUSAN (Kingston, ON; Kingston Prison Ministry; MSC)  PRAISE/PRAY:   Susan’s mother (Verna Millson) passed away August 22nd, 90 years old. It was unexpected and we are saddened and sobered by the suddenness but are thankful for the goodness of God. We know she is happy and healthy and delighting in the joys of heaven. She was a wonderful mother and mother-in-law and we are thankful for the example she was in our lives. BG, now out on parole, requested a pass for the day in order to attend the funeral. He considers us family and years ago had visited and became acquainted with Susan’s parents. Amazing to us, the pass was granted. BG is also doing well reconnecting with family, maintaining employment and seeking to walk faithfully. We had an opportunity to visit with GR recently, also in a halfway house. He is also managing his challenges and staying the course as he adjusts to life on the outside. We are encouraged. Pray for CB.  His correctional plan coordinator is making unjust assessments and documentations. This is hugely discouraging as CB prepares for his parole hearing. CB also struggles with mental health issues. Pray for Christian chaplains….that they would be faithful to the Word of God.  One we have known for years is now in the process of “deconstructing”.
