Raul & Jessenia - August 2022

ESPINOZA, RAUL & JESSENIA (Guayaquil, Ecuador; MSC) PRAISE: That we have all recovered well from Covid, and that Danilo's hospital stay ended up not being too serious. Back in Ecuador the church was able to have family camp at the beach and two Canadian families were also able to join.  PRAY:  For our family as we travel back to Ecuador August 10 and re-adjust to life there.

Jenn Brubacher - August 2022

BRUBACHER, JENN (Listowel, YFC) PRAISE: Our annual golf tournament was a great success. Our week-long summer drop-in camp, Camp Wannagetaway, was fantastic. We made bubble tea, paint pours canvas, did archery, played frisbee golf, served in our community and intentionally engaged in conversations about the good news of the Gospel with 11 junior high students. May God grow the seeds that were planted this week. K and S’s father is healing at home and there’s been great progress made! PRAY: Please pray for the B family as they navigate a separation, job loss and financial need. For students as they enter summer vacation. For some, home isn’t a safe place and the lack of structure in their day can be difficult to cope with. Pray for our high school camping trip to Cyprus Lake happening July 28-29th. We long for these students to experience God’s peace, presence and healing.

Phil & Andrea - August 2022

BAUMAN, PHIL & ANDREA (Canada, International roles with SIM) PRAISE: For opportunity for 2 weeks off in Aug. It has been a very busy few months. That we can be away for 1 week of that and that the kids plan to join us for part of that. For finishing some significant items in preparation for Board meetings. PRAY: For time of refreshment and renewal on vacation. Phil would appreciate prayer for several key items he is preparing for the September Board meetings. Andrea continues to value prayer as she balances her two roles. For a new family and a new single arriving in the Middle East in August - pray for them to settle well, especially for kids' adjustment in school. That a visa solution could be found for someone from Asia that wants to come learn language in the Middle East. Pray for Liam to get a job related to his degree.

Jenn Brubacher - July 2022

BRUBACHER, JENN (Listowel, YFC) PRAISE: I’m thankful for the many opportunities I’ve had to connect with students and wrap up programs as the summer season begins. I've officially begun the Emerging Leaders program at Arrow Leadership. Along with my work at YFC, I’m looking forward to completing this program over the next 18 months. Almost 100 riders attended Tour For Teens, our annual cycling fundraiser, and it was a great success! I’m thankful for the opportunity to attend YFC’s National Ministry conference. It was a true honour and gift connecting with staff from across our country, to learn together and worship! PRAY: Please join me in praying for students as they enter summer vacation. For some, home isn’t a safe place and the lack of structure in their day can be difficult to cope with. Pray for deep healing in relationships with family members, for families in our community who have lost jobs and are struggling in finances. And pray for K and S as their father recovers from a serious accident. In the good and difficult things of this season, may Christ’s hope prevail above all else.
