FREY, LES & SHARON (Elmira, ON; Local Church) PRAISE/PRAY: Our family of 20 has been having wonderful times as a first in over 12 years, one Spanish cousin who did not know other cousins and is so enjoying being together. Les spoke at our 18 year old granddaughter's baptism and speaks at our grandson’s wedding Saturday as well as two more Sunday messages. Thanks for praying for us. God has been moving! We feel the spiritual darkness but also the wonderful fellowship of beloved family of the faith as well as our own family. August 10 we fly back to Chicago to be with Elena and children till the 17 driving back to Ontario.

Dear praying friends and family,
We are excited to share with you the news we received a couple of days ago. Federal institutions will be re-opening to part time chaplains as well as volunteers like ourselves. Family visits for inmates will begin again and “normal” routine will resume.
We are thrilled and thanking the Lord for this open door. It has been a long time coming.
Please pray for continued positive relationships with the chaplains and staff as we reestablish the opportunities available to us. We also want to adapt and be flexible for any new ways we can assist chaplains as we serve.
We so look forward to sharing “in person” the good news of the gospel and the reliability of an unchanging sovereign God and his kingdom.

MARTIN, TREVOR & HANNAH (Waterloo, ON; Power to Change) PRAISE: That Hannah's teeth have finally been feeling a little bit better after having a root canal and a lot of pain and discomfort in the following weeks. For a successful High School Transition scholarship program this year with 43 students receiving scholarships and 372 applicants who thought through how they can grow in their faith as they enter post-secondary. PRAY: For a good national staff conference in BC in early August as well as a good time connecting with some supporters out there who we haven't seen for a while. For our daughter Amelia's faith and spiritual growth and for us as parents as we care for her spiritually.

MARTIN, RUSS & MEREDITH (Singapore; Power to Change / Lausanne Movement) PRAISE: Effective meetings with Lausanne Global Leadership in NYC in June. We arrived safely in Canada for a time of vacation and connecting with ministry partners. God has provided an apartment for us within walking distance from the kids' school. PRAY: For a good start with K from India who is joining Russ' team as Project Coordinator. For 200 champions to host our #HACK event in October. For continued spiritual openness from our friends N and I.

MARTIN, GORD & HEATHER (Waterloo, ON; Vision Ministries) PRAISE/PRAY: Praise the Lord! Our friend Indy has escaped from Burma/Myanmar to India! He is recovering his health slowly – is not well enough to fly. All his travel documents are expired. Please pray that he will be able to return to his family in Winnipeg, soon. Perhaps in a month or two? I am in the middle of writing the training materials that will be used in Kenya in October. I’d very much appreciate your prayer support for that! Heather has just completed the 12 steps of Celebrate Recovery with a few pastor’s wives. It's been an enriching experience.
