Raul & Jessenia - November 2023

ESPINOZA, RAUL & JESSENIA (Guayaquil, Ecuador; MSC) PRAISE: That God continues to grant us safety. That the youth group, though small, continues to be a cohesive group. That a door keeper has been hired to help keep watch over the school during school hours as more security is needed at the school. PRAY: That God would protect our church and school community from the extortioners who are continually looking for ways to expand their action. For continued safety for our family in our daily activities. For the young, new president who was recently elected- that he would have the wisdom and courage to stand against the systemic corruption in the country and bring a measure of security back. 

Prayer for a church retreat to the beach next weekend- that God would move people’s hearts to desire him more and that a time of deep fellowship would be had.  

Phil & Andrea - November 2023

BAUMAN, PHIL & ANDREA  (Canada, International roles with SIM)    PRAISE: For a good time in Asia with a team there as we facilitated their conversations toward greater focus and clarity. That Andrea was able to listen to and encourage several individuals as they grappled with some challenging situations. For health and safety in travel both on long flights and while on the ground. The opportunity for sabbatical. PRAY: For SIM’s International Leadership team as they gather for their annual face-to-face spiritual retreat. Phil is attending. Pray that God will speak clearly to the team and encourage them through this time of transition. For safe travel (Nov 4-14) for Phil to that meeting. For Andrea as she continues to support and mentor SIM’s HR/Personnel leaders. For a good period of sabbatical for Phil for the rest of the year once he returns.

Gord & Heather Martin - October 2023

MARTIN, GORD & HEATHER  (Waterloo, ON; Vision Ministries)   PRAISE/PRAY: Unbelievable! Indy is still in India. Now we have a conflict between Canada and India which is influencing the work of the Canadian High Commission. Please pray for the emotional, spiritual and physical well-being of this dear man. He keeps finding ways to be a blessing. I am working on a possible mentoring initiative among Iranian/Persian Christian leaders in Turkey and Georgia. Please pray for success in this beginning phase.

Trevor & Hannah Martin - October 2023

MARTIN, TREVOR & HANNAH (Waterloo, ON; Power to Change) PRAISE: For God's faithfulness and provision in our lives and ministry. That Hannah is able to return to in-person at the University of Waterloo, but please also pray for the extra work/effort and change in routine that this opportunity involves. PRAY: For the hundreds of students who attended our regional Summit retreats at the end of September and that they would be encouraged/inspired to take steps of faith towards Christ. For the new interns on Hannah's Waterloo Team and that they would adjust well and grow in their ministry skills and work/life balance.

MARTIN, RUSS & MEREDITH  (Singapore; Power to Change / Lausanne Movement)  PRAISE: 

God's provision of a designer to help Meredith as she seeks to develop a Seoul 2024 congress brand prototype. Good movement with partners as Russ finalizes a partnership for a key part of Lausanne's digital platform strategy. Encouraging discipleship moments as participants in our community group take courageous steps of faith to go deeper with Jesus amongst challenging family and relational circumstances. PRAY: For God's provision of term 2 school fees for our children. For effective deployment of the congress brand in mid-October. For wisdom as Russ serves on a committee deciding registration fees (Oct 2-3) for majority world participants in the Seoul 2023 congress.
