MARTIN, CHARLOTTE (Guelph, ON; Power to Change) PRAISE: We are sending just over 50 staff and students on 4 different mission trips starting the beginning of May - Desert Rain, Vietnam, Nations Next Door (Guelph), Edmonton. We had 2 stories of people coming to faith recently. First, a girl from Vietnam who attends an online English corner that one of our Canadian staff helps our Vietnamese staff to run. Second, in DR one of our staff recently met a man who came to faith last year. They discovered that some of this man's first spiritual conversations were with some of our Canadian students on a mission trip in 2012. 8-9 years later, with many different influences along the way this man put his trust in Jesus and a Canadian mission trip in 2012 got to play a part. PRAY: For protection against COVID and that the participants going on international mission trips next week would all test negative and be able to get on their scheduled flights. For me as I travel to Edmonton, Vietnam and Singapore in the next 6 weeks. Pray for COVID free trips and that I would be an encouragement to the staff and students I will be visiting on Mission trips in those locations, and the family I will be visiting in Singapore.

FREY, ESTHER (Puerto Rico; Emmaus Correspondence) PRAISE: Had good children's club with an average attendance of 10. They began the chapel roof repairs the last week of April. Were encouraged with some visitors on Good Friday. Teamworkers from Canada arrive today, 27th of April, to install a solar panel stem near the camp dining room. One of my Emmaus students has been released with shackles to work. He has a cellular phone so keeps in touch. Happy Mother's Day to you dear mothers. I'm so grateful for a godly mother who was used to guide me in the right path. PRAY: We are continuing children's club each Friday until May 20. TeamWorkers at camp until May 11. That the bathroom repair project will get started at the chapel. Also a dear brother is donating the repair of the office roof. Pray it may be soon. The seniors meeting was cancelled in April, but we look forward to meeting on the 20th of May. Pray for Sonia, who has been helping me for years in the correction of exams. She has health issues and temporarily requested not to work.

ESPINOZA, RAUL & JESSENIA (Guayaquil, Ecuador; MSC) PRAISE: That we have been able to find several new sponsors for the school. For really good family time with Jessenia's family. For a good first few couple weeks of camp. We have found an administrator for the school who we feel God has led us to. PRAY: That we would continue to find more sponsors for the school. For continued wisdom for the school board as they are hiring for new positions at the school. Please pray that God would lead them to ministry-minded, capable people to join us as staff at the school. The new school year will be starting May 6 and the idea is that it will be 100% in-person- something that hasn't happened for 2 years. Pray that the transition back to in-person goes smoothly for everyone. For the 2 weeks of youth camp- that God would really touch the lives of the adolescents who attend and for our youth leaders who are helping as both counsellors and directors.

BRUBACHER, JENN (Listowel, YFC) PRAISE: I’m thankful for the new opportunity to coach track + field at the high school. It’s been great to meet a practical need and get to know new staff and students. Our spring annual fundraiser went very well! PRAY: Pray for our staff and committee as we meet on April 30th to talk about the vision of YFC and where the ministry is headed. Pray for staff and students as the school year comes to an end. This is the longest stretch of in-person learning and it’s been a difficult time for many.

BAUMAN, PHIL & ANDREA (Canada, International roles with SIM) PRAISE: For a good planning retreat with a team in the Middle East. For the opportunity to be together in person with our international leadership team. Praise that we can visit Andrea's parents in Norway. Pray that we can have a good time together. PRAY: For safe travel to Austria mid May to participate in a leader development event with the couple we are mentoring. For a young long term couple arriving in the Middle East in May. For another young woman struggling to raise support -pray that God will provide. For Cara as she works at a sports medicine clinic in Barrie for the summer. For Liam as he looks for a full-time job related to his degree.
