MARTIN, GORD & HEATHER  (Waterloo, ON; Vision Ministries)   PRAISE: Praise, the Training of Trainers curriculum for use in Kenya in October is almost done! Chris Atkinson (Angus) and Matt Craig (Toronto) will be going to teach. Praise, the Friday morning prayer group is an ongoing inspiration! The 9 members are from: China, Iran, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Burma and Canada. PRAY: Pray, our brother Indy from Winnipeg has been battling a string of heavy health issues. He is a great warrior for Christ. Pray that he will regain his strength. There is so much for him to do.

J&R K - September 2024

J&R  (South Asia; Frontiers)  PRAISE: Thank you for your faithful prayers for our family as we enter a new season. Praise the Lord that our eldest is settled in Canada and ready to begin his studies at Heritage College this month. Praise for a good start to the new term with many new students joining and for our returning ones too. PRAY: Pray that the Lord would use the various opportunities through Christian Activities on campus to draw kids to Himself. Pray too for us as we lead the Alt Service on Sundays for our seekers & skeptics. May the Holy Spirit be stirring and preparing hearts. As always, pray for stamina & healthy disciplines in the midst of our full schedules of boarding school life.

Esther Frey - September 2024

FREY, ESTHER (Puerto Rico; Emmaus Correspondence)  PRAISE: What a special time in my home area, thanking all who helped in any way to make things happen. Leona was a wonderful hostess. For the time spent with the Lopez family. Irv and Shirley were also great hosts. Some insight into future plans.  A rental provision for Brian so he can move his things from my home. That is still in the process.  PRAY:  That I will have wisdom as I work my way through camp history, church files, and personal things. Brian is teaching this year and doing the Emmaus work. I would like to attend the Emmaus alumni homecoming at the end of September. The camp permanent committee wants to meet more often. Please pray for guidance.

Gord Martin (Vision Ministries)

Indy is home! A few of us met Indy at Pearson this morning (October 19). He's now on his way home to Winnipeg.

What an ordeal! I traveled with him in Myanmar/Burma in February of 2020. He's been there, separated from his family since then, experiencing one hurdle after another: the pandemic, covid, war, death of his father, constant danger, illegal escape to India, becoming a chaplain to land mine and bombing victims from Burma, heart attack, stents, recovery, unable to walk, stone walling from Indian authorities, help from Canadian Global Affairs and 3.5+ years of prayer by a group of 10 who prayed with and for him every Friday morning + many others who prayed!

Thank you LORD!!!

Thanks very much for all of you who have prayed for his safe return!
